True greatness is not found in status or power but in humble, Christlike service, as Jesus—fully secure in His identity and authority—stooped to wash the feet of disciples who would fail Him, pointing ultimately to the deeper cleansing of the cross. John 13 calls believers to lay aside pride, serve sacrificially in everyday life, and follow Jesus by trading the “crown” for the “towel,” knowing our security in Christ frees us to love and serve others well.
