Jesus promises that His followers will never be abandoned like orphans, because the Holy Spirit—the divine Comforter and Advocate—comes to dwell within believers, making the love and presence of the Father and Son their eternal home. John 14 reveals that true peace, obedience, holiness, and security flow not from human strength or perfect circumstances, but from the indwelling life of the Triune God who adopts us, transforms us, and holds us fast through every trial.
